JENNIFER WALKER-SHANNON, PRODUCER
In my 15 years of writing, marketing, PR, and project development, I have herded the cagiest felines, and wrangled many a word. From a San Francisco PR agency during the High Tech boom (and bust), to an international media content company developing projects for global brands, with an smidgen of documentary film producing and freelance writing on the side, I've ended up with a diverse catalog of experience.
I was blessed with the ability to string words together with relative ease and reasonable skill - I admit, I can write and write well, and I have the agility to simultaneously manage complex processes, projects and people. While some think I have the patience of a saint, it is really an unnaturally high tolerance for pain that allows me to meet timelines, budgets and make disparate elements come together successfully.
Also, some might say my ability to edit and polish the work of others comes from control issues, but I believe it stems from my strong affection for words, language and semantics. I feel one should say exactly what they mean, and mean exactly what they say. I take particular joy in finding the *perfect* word to elicit the desired effect, emotion or reaction.
I aspire to find challenging and fulfilling work, to finish my novel; to find a publisher for my biography of Hollywood photographer Frank Worth; and to rid my cat of fleas. I am filled with optimism for the first three.
